Community, Commerce & Care

by | Wed, Aug 20, 2025

Community, commerce and care for our customers are at our the core Pawn World’s foundation. We are community focused. And when it comes to local commerce, we recognize the historic role of the pawn shop. But, perhaps, it is our care for the customer that best illustrates our core mission statement.

For more than three decades, Pawn World has been a staple in Kingman, Arizona. We are a family owned member of the community that’s grown from its humble beginnings on Beale Street to today standing tall as the largest pawn shop in Mohave County with two stores to serve you. We are also the largest gun store in northwest Arizona. And thanks to our sparkling new, much-larger location on Stockton Hill Road we are recognized as the largest pawn shop in Arizona.

 Chronicle of Roots and Growth

Our story began nearly thirty years ago when we opened our doors in the historic bus station in downtown Kingman. From day one, Pawn World was more than a mere pawn shop. We quickly became a friendly corner of community life, where locals swapped stories about guitars, gold, and everything in between. To better serve our valued customers, we opened a second location on Northern Avenue.

Now, a new chapter in the Pawn World story is being written. The Beale Street store has evolved into the expansive new location at 3015 N. Stockton Hill Road. This fresh chapter unfolds in more than double the space, offering an expansive showroom, plentiful parking, and a broader, ever-changing inventory. Fine jewelry and rare collectibles power tools, musical instruments, and firearms.

Why It Matters: The Largest Gun Shop in the Region

The new Stockton Hill store doesn’t just offer more shelves. It enables us to grow our reputation as the premier firearms provider in northwest Arizona. Whether you’re a collector, a hunter, or a responsible new owner, you’ll find a diverse selection backed by fair pricing, and a commitment to safety and accountability.

Responsible Firearm Ownership: A Core Value

Owning a firearm is a serious responsibility, and at Pawn World, the we don’t take that lightly. From well-considered training recommendations to proper storage advice, our store emphasizes legal compliance and safe handling. This ensures that each firearm transaction is rooted in respect for law, as well as the community.

Reflections on the 2nd Amendment—and How It’s Evolved

Over the years, the interpretation of the 2nd Amendment—declaring the right to “keep and bear Arms”—has taken many turns:

  • Early Foundations: In the 18th century, the amendment served two fundamental purposes: protecting militias and safeguarding individual rights.

  • Civil War & Postwar Era: Public safety concerns and reconstruction-era debates introduced a more regulated view of arms.

  • Modern Legal Views: In recent decades, courts have affirmed that the 2nd Amendment protects an individual’s right to own firearms—but also upheld municipalities’ rights to enforce reasonable restrictions in the interests of public safety.

  • Today: It’s a fragile balance. We strive to honor constitutional freedoms while promoting safe, educated ownership—an equilibrium Pawn World firmly supports through its knowledgeable, community-minded approach.

Looking Forward: Community First, Always

The opening of the Stockton Hill Road location isn’t just a move; it’s a bold statement: Pawn World is here to stay, doubling down on its legacy of fairness, integrity, and local service. Whether you’re drawn to our extensive firearm selection or lured by the eclectic offerings of rare coins and vintage treasures, this new space welcomes you with a friendly smile and honest deals.
